Every year, the Police Department compiles performance and crime data into an annual report.  The 2024 report took us longer than expected, but it is finally ready to be shared.  Follow the link below to this year's report and browse reports from past years.

The public is invited to join us for the ribbon cutting for our new South Substation on Thursday, 8/21/2025 at 4:30 p.m.  

Keynote speakers will begin at 4:30 followed by the ribbon cutting and tours of the new facility.

On Tuesday, April 29, the Lee’s Summit, Missouri Police Department officially received Missouri Blue Shield designation from the Missouri Department of Public Safety. This prestigious honor recognizes Missouri communities that demonstrate a steadfast commitment to enhancing public safety and supporting law enforcement. On January 21, 2025, at approximately 7:30 p.m., officers and paramedics were dispatched to a business parking lot in the 3300 block of SW Third Street on the report of a robbery. Upon arrival, officers contacted the victim, who stated he had come to the parking lot to sell an iPad to a buyer on Facebook marketplace.

On Wednesday, December 11, 2024, Officers with the Lee's Summit Police Department gathered for the annual Shop With a Cop event. The event happens each year in cooperation with the Lee's Summit Police Officers Association and our generous local retailers.
