Pet License

Annual City License (Expires every year on December 31st)

All animals must have proof of current Rabies vaccinations to purchase a City License.

Pet Licensing Info - You can license your pet at the Animal Control Shelter, at City Hall, or at participating vet offices*.  City Hall is located at 220 SE Green Street.   You will need a valid rabies certificate, and proof of your pet's sterilization (if applicable).  You may also elect to purchase a lifetime license provided your pet is micro-chipped. Life-time licenses are only available at the Animal Shelter or City Hall.

Refund Policy - All pet licenses are final, and no refunds will be given.  Additionally, pet licenses are issued for a calendar year regardless of when obtained (no pro-rating).

Delivery Method - Licenses purchased or renewed online will be mailed via the United States Postal Service, toward the end of each business week.

*The following veterinarian offices are currently participating in providing pet licenses in their office for an additional three dollar convenience fee: Lee's Summit Animal Hospital, Lee's Summit North Animal Hospital, Cedar Creek Veterinary Hospital, Raintree Animal Health Center.
