The following City* streets are closed or scheduled for closure due to road construction or repair**:

Southeast Third Street between Southeast Todd George and Southeast Flagstone Drive - closed beginning Wed., Dec. 10 through Dec. 24. Southeast Greystone Drive will be closed to through traffic between Southeast Todd George Parkway and Northeast Langsford Road. The closure is necessary for stormwater improvements.

Section of Northeast Rice Road between Northeast Colbern Road and Northeast Mulberry Avenue - will close Mon., Nov. 17, for approximately three weeks. The closure is necessary for water main rehabilitation work.

Section of Northeast Independence Avenue between Northeast Orchard and Southeast Second Streets - Update 12/5/25: This section of Northeast Independence Avenue had reopened, but will close again on Tuesday, Dec. 9 and Wednesday, Dec. 10, for pavement work. This closed Mon., Nov. 3, for approximately five weeks. The closure is associated with the West Prairie Lee Interceptor sewer project.

Section of Northeast Grand Ave. between Northeast Ash and Southeast Second Streets - is closed for approximately three weeks, to mid-December. The hard closure is between Southeast Lee Haven Drive and Wilson Street. Northeast Independence Avenue remains closed and the detour route has moved to Southeast Green Street. The closures are necessary for sewer work associated with the West Prairie Lee Sewer Capacity Study, Upgrade and Construction project.

Sections of Southeast Douglas and Southeast First streets - set to close daily beginning Mon., Oct. 27 through Nov. 7 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Work is related to utility work at the intersection.

Alley between Southwest Fourth and Southwest Fifth streets in between Southwest Jefferson and Southwest Market streets - closed Wed., Oct. 15 through the end of November. The closure is for the installation of a gas main as well as abandoning a portion.

Intersection of Southwest Scherer and Southwest Pryor Roads - has been extended one more week to mid-Dec. This closed Wed., Oct. 22 for approximately forty-five days. The closure is necessary for intersection reconstruction. Southwest Scherer Road will be closed to thru traffic between Southwest Sampson Road and Southwest Ward Road.

Sections of southbound Northeast Douglas Street between Northeast Orchard and Northeast Forest - is closed daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for approximately two weeks. The closure is for the installation of a gas main.

Sections of Northeast Douglas Street between Northeast Elm Street and Northeast Forest Avenue - closed Oct. 2, in one block increments daily from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for two weeks. Closures are necessary to replace gas services and tie-in houses to a new gas main.

Southwest Nichols Street at Southwest Third Street - closed Mon., Sept. 8, until project completion. Southwest Fourth Street and Southwest Nichols Street will be local access only between the closure and Southwest Walnut Street.

Southwest Oldham Parkway at MO 291 and Southwest Jefferson Street between Southwest Oldham Parkway and Southwest Persels Road - are closed and will remain closed through December. In addition, a section of Southwest Market Street north of Southwest Persels Road is closed for reconstruction in association with the Oldham Village development.

Section of Southwest Oldham Parkway between Southwest Allendale Boulevard and the Southwest Oldham Parkway exit from MO 291 Highway - closed June 16. This is expected to remain closed until Dec. 2025. The closure is necessary for work associated with the Oldham Village development.

Sections of Southwest Pryor Road between Southwest Longview and Southwest Scherer roads and between Southwest Scherer and Southwest Hook roads - closed June 30, 2025, and will remain closed until Spring 2026. The closures are necessary for roadway improvements.

Section of NW Quarry Park Road - The City will once again implement an inclement winter weather route for Northwest Quarry Park Road. Please note the inclement weather route for the 2025-2026 winter season.
