Volunteer Opportunities

Any person interested in volunteering at the Shelter will need to fill out a Volunteer Agreement Form and return it to the Shelter to volunteer on the weekly schedule.  Make sure to review the Volunteer Task List  before your first shift begins.

We have two different types of volunteer opportunities:

Community Service (supervised, for credit hours):

  • Monday through Friday: 8-11 a.m. and 3-5 p.m.
  • Saturday and Sunday: 8-11 a.m. and 12-2 p.m.

Open Volunteering (unsupervised, no credit hours earned):

  • Monday through Friday: anytime between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.

If you are interested in volunteering outside of the Shelter, we partner with Heart of America Humane Society for off-site adoption events and fostering.
