Certified / Lateral Entry Police Officer
To be eligible, applicants must hold a valid Missouri Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) Class A Certification or be able to obtain one by transferring out-of-state law enforcement credentials. Pay is based on a lateral entry scale that rewards up to five years of law enforcement experience.

Recruit Police Officer
This application process is for applicants who do NOT currently hold a Missouri Peace Officer license. This group of applicants will attend the next academy class of 2026 that is tenatively set for May of 2026.

Animal Control Officer
This is a full time position with our Animal Shelter. Shifts are bid by seniority and there is an evening shift; weekend hours are also required.
Applicant's must be drug free (including marijuana) and be able to pass a background investigation that includes a polygraph examination.
