Certified / Lateral Entry Police Officer

To be eligible, applicants must hold a valid Missouri Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) Class A Certification; or be able to obtain one by transferring thier out of state law enforcement credentials. For more information on transferring / obtaining a Class A license with out of state credentials, visit the MO POST website at https://dps.mo.gov/dir/programs/post/licensing.php.

Pay is based on a lateral entry scale that rewards up to five years of law enforcement experience.

Police Communications Specialist / Dispatcher

The Communications Specialist is responsible for receiving emergency calls and requests for services, determining and disseminating necessary information regarding such, recognizing urgency and priority, dispatching police units, traffic units, animal control, or routes calls to appropriate entities and coordinates outside services in the communications unit.

Full Time Animal Shelter Attendant

Under direct supervision of the Animal Control Supervisor, cleans and disinfects cages and shelter, feeds and cares for animal. Assists shelter customers in redeeming or adopting pets. Handles complaints received at the shelter. Assists in euthanizing animals. May work with limited supervision.
