Peddler/Solicitor Information

The City of Lee’s Summit requires all peddlers and solicitors to register with the Police Department and obtain a permit. The peddler or solicitor is required to display the permit on their person when conducting business and contacting residents.  

Peddler/Solicitor Guidance

  • Peddlers/Solicitors must discontinue their message when requested to do so.
  • Hours – 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday and Sunday.
  • Peddlers/Solicitors must not enter or remain on property if they have reason to believe they are unwelcome.

"No Solicitors" Signage

Residents can post "No Solicitors" signage on the front door of their home. Free "No Solicitors" stickers can be obtained at Police Headquarters Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. or a "No Solicitors" sign can be printed below. Signage should be placed on the outermost front door at eye level, making it easy to see.
