Fines and Costs Payable Without Court Appearance

Ordinance Violations that are payable without court appearance may be made using the following methods: 

  • Plead and Pay through Case.Net on or before the initial court appearance at courts.mo.gov
  • Overtime parking violations-please contact the Municipal Court at court@cityofls.net or 816.969.1150 if you wish to pay on-line.
  • If paying in person, payment must be in the form of cash, money order, cashier's check or debit/credit cards. Personal  and business checks are not accepted.  A processing fee is collected by the debit/credit card vendor.

Uniform Municipal Fine Schedule

The Missouri Supreme Court has adopted a statewide Uniform Municipal Fine Schedule that all municipal divisions must utilize.   Only those charge codes listed on the fine schedule are payable without court appearance.    A person may pay the specified amount of the fine and costs to the bureau in person, by mail, or through an electronic payment system before the court date and time of the initial court appearance. Said payment constitiues a guilty plea and waiver of trial. Violations Bureau adoption of the Uniform Fine Schedule established by Rule 37.495

Any violation involving an accident, drugs or alcohol, driving while suspended, assault, theft or destruction of property shall not be disposed of through the Violations Bureau. Said charges are a mandatory court appearance.


Court Cost Schedule

Add the sum of $35.50 court costs to the payable fine amounts listed on the Uniform Municipal Fine Schedule

Court Automation Fund $7.00 (DOR)

FAILURE TO PROVIDE PROOF OF FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY (NO PROOF OF INSURANCE)

If you had valid insurance on the date and time of the violation, please provide that proof to the Lee’s Summit Municipal Division 243/263 prior to your court date; once coverage is verified by the Prosecutor, you will be notified of your case disposition.  You can provide your proof of insurance in person, by email @ lscourt@cityofls.net or by fax @ 816.969.1155. You must include your complete name, current address, telephone number, citation number and court date.
