On Sunday, November 13, 2022, at 11:43 am, the Lee's Summit Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire in the 1000 Block of NE Whispering Winds Court. A neighbor reported smoke coming from the townhome.
When the fire department arrived, light smoke was visible from a two-story, four-unit townhome building. Several occupants had evacuated the building.

A section of SW Murray Road near SW 1st Street is set to close on Monday, Nov. 14, and will remain closed until the evening of Friday, Nov. 18, weather permitting. Preparations began this week for curb replacement on a section of NW Chipman Road from U.S. Route 50 to the railroad bridge just east of NW Donovan Road.
