A section of Northeast Neawanna Drive west of Northeast Amanda Lane closed on Tuesday, May 28, for approximately three weeks for stormwater repairs. This is the cul-de-sac near Deer Valley Park. The stormwater crew will be replacing two rusted corrugated metal storm lines under Neawanna Drive. All work is weather permitting and schedules are subject to change.

On Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at 11:08 a.m., the Lee's Summit Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire at 11 SW Industrial Drive at Newco Manufacturing.
