The Lee's Summit Fire Department responded to a structure fire in the 1300 block of Southeast Princeton Place on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at 10:15 a.m. The resident noticed smoke in an upstairs bedroom after extinguishing a fire in the downstairs fireplace. The City of Lee’s Summit is hosting a public meeting for the Pryor Road Improvements project from 4:30-6:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 3, at Fire Station 7, 2150 SW Scherer Road, Lee’s Summit, MO  64082. A section of Southwest Third Street between Southwest Highland Street and Southwest Lakeview Boulevard is closed for emergency utility repairs. The work is permitted through Friday, March 21. This closure is in the section of Southwest Third Street already closed to thru traffic for the Southwest Third and Southwest Jefferson streets intersection closure. Drivers should follow the posted detour at Southwest Blue Parkway.  

A section of Southwest Sampson Road between Southwest Scherer and Southwest Hook roads is set to close to thru traffic on Wednesday, March 19, and will remain closed until approximately mid-October 2025, for two phases of the Sampson Road Stormwater Improvements project. READ MORE -->
