The City of Lee’s Summit, in partnership with the Community Blood Center, will host a blood drive on Monday, Oct. 7 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the City’s Maintenance Facility located at 1971 SE Hamblen Road. Those who donate will be entered to win two Chiefs tickets.

The Southeast Green Street entrance into the Lee’s Summit City Hall parking lot and garage is expected to reopen this afternoon Thursday, Sept. 26, and will remain open through the weekend for the Oktoberfest event. The Southeast Green Street entrance will close again on Monday, Sept. 30, and access to the City Hall parking lot and garage will once again be from the alley off of Southeast Second Street until approximately the end of November.
