A utility contractor closed a section of Northeast County Park Road at Northeast Colbern Road for concrete restoration. Work started today, and is permitted through Aug. 15. A detour route is posted and includes Northeast Colbern Road, Northeast Bren Mar Road, and Northeast Lake Shore Drive. This section of Northeast County Park Road is owned by Jackson County.

Lee’s Summit Mayor Bill Baird will deliver his State of the City address on Aug. 15 at 4:30 p.m., hosted by the Lee’s Summit Chamber of Commerce at the newly completed Green Street Market, 209 SE Green St. The address will take place immediately before the Green Street ribbon cutting, making it the first official public event at the City’s newest destination.
