The City’s crews are plowing and treating residential streets today, Thursday, February 13. Primary and secondary streets are completed, and residential streets were started early Thursday morning.

Residents are urged not to park on streets and cul-de-sacs if possible. Drivers cannot plow if streets or cul-de-sacs are too congested, and they will move on to finish their routes and attempt to return after all other streets are completed. Crews thank you for your help and patience.

The City’s crews continue plowing and treating streets tonight, Wednesday, February 12. Primary streets are nearly complete. Crews will continue working in secondary streets overnight into Thursday, February 13, and then will move into residential streets. Refreezing is likely overnight and crews may need to re-treat primary streets; however, extremely cold temperatures may reduce the salt treatment’s effectiveness. READ MORE -->

The City’s crews are plowing and treating streets today, Wednesday, February 12, and will continue working around the clock until all streets are plowed and treated. Crews are nearing completion on primary streets and have started secondary streets. Due to cold temperatures, streets may still be packed with snow even after being plowed and treated.

Residents can help by moving vehicles from streets if possible. Vehicles parked on streets significantly slow progress and impact how much snow can be plowed from streets.

The City’s crews are pre-treating streets with salt today, Monday, February 10, ahead of winter weather forecast for this week. Crews started treating streets in residential areas, and then will move to secondary and primary streets. Light snow is expected overnight into Tuesday, February 11, and crews will treat streets as needed.

The Chipman Road Improvements project is moving into the next construction phase beginning the week of Feb. 10, weather permitting. Pavement removal is expected to start on the section of Northwest Chipman Road from just west of the pedestrian bridge to Northwest Bent Tree Drive in preparation for paving in March. This section will remain closed until construction is complete later this spring. The section of Northwest Chipman Road between View High Drive and just west of the pedestrian bridge is open to local traffic only. The detour route remains Northwest Pryor Road, Southwest Third Street and View High Drive.
