City’s Crews Prepared for Additional Snow & Ice Overnight into Tues., Oct. 27

City crews treated primary streets ahead of the morning commute today, Mon., Oct. 26. Near freezing temperatures minimized slickness on pavements. Crews continued treating streets until 3:30 p.m. today.

With additional snow and ice in the forecast, crews will return at 7 p.m. Monday evening to continue to treat streets as needed overnight and into Tues., Oct. 27. While ice accumulations are expected to be minimal, pavements may become slick and drivers should use caution especially on elevated surfaces such as bridges and overpasses. Precipitation is expected to change over to rain as temperatures rise above freezing late Tuesday morning.

The City will continue to monitor the forecast and will update its response accordingly.
