Section of Northeast Neawanna Drive Closed for Stormwater Repairs

A section of Northeast Neawanna Drive west of Northeast Amanda Lane closed on Tuesday, May 28, for approximately three weeks for stormwater repairs. This is the cul-de-sac near Deer Valley Park. The stormwater crew will be replacing two rusted corrugated metal storm lines under Neawanna Drive. All work is weather permitting and schedules are subject to change.

Southeast Second Street Set to Reopen Friday, May 24; Section of Southeast Third Street Set to Close Tuesday, May 28

Update as of 7/2/24: Southeast Third Street is Now Open
Update as of 5/23/24: Southeast Second Street is Now Open

Southeast Second Street is set to reopen to through traffic by the end of the day on Friday, May 24, followed by the closure of a section of Southeast Third Street between Southeast Douglas and Southeast Johnson streets on Tuesday, May 28, for approximately six weeks. The closure is necessary for infrastructure work associated with the Downtown Market Plaza project. The detour route will be Southeast Grand Avenue, Southeast Second Street, and Southeast Douglas Street.

Intersection of Southeast Second & Southeast Green Streets Set to Close on Monday, May 13

Section of Southeast Green Street Set to Close Permanently

The intersection of Southeast Second and Southeast Green streets is set to close on Monday, May 13, for approximately two weeks. The closure is necessary for the installation of a sanitary sewer line and manhole. The City Hall parking lot and garage entrance off of Southeast Green Street will be closed and access will be from the alley just west of the garage off of Southeast Second Street. The detour route for the Southeast Second Street closure will now be Southeast Grand Avenue, Southeast Third Street and Southeast Douglas Street.
