Crews are scheduled to report at 7 p.m. on Saturday to treat streets as needed and will continue to work overnight into Sunday. Snow accumulations for the Lee’s Summit area may be around one half inch, and the main concerns will be snow overwhelming pavements Saturday night and a re-freeze Sunday morning when temperatures drop below freezing. Drivers should use caution, particularly on elevated surfaces such as bridges and overpasses. Higher snow accumulations are expected north of Lee’s Summit; however, the forecast continues to change. The City will continue to monitor the weather forecast and update its response accordingly.
