Lee’s Summit Water Utilities released results from the 2023 Customer Satisfaction Survey that show customer satisfaction ratings significantly higher than the U.S. and regional averages. On Thursday, August 3, at 11:47 p.m., the Lee's Summit Fire Department responded to a structure fire at Performance Food Group (PFG), 290 SE Thompson Drive. Employees coming to work discovered a fire involving a refrigerated semi-trailer parked against the dock door.

The Chipman Road Improvements project is underway and a section of Northwest Chipman Road between View High Drive and Northwest Bent Tree Drive is set to close to through traffic beginning Monday, July 31, and will remain closed until completion of the project in approximately spring 2025.
