Monday, November 10, 2025 | Views: 9738 | Categories: Public Works News Section of Northeast Rice Road Set to Close Monday, Nov. 17 A section of Northeast Rice Road between Northeast Colbern Road and Northeast Mulberry Avenue is set to close on Monday, November 17, for approximately three weeks. The hard closure will be between 1707 and 1725 Northeast Rice Road. The detour route includes Northeast Mulberry Avenue, Northeast Independence Avenue, and Northeast Colbern Road. The closure is necessary for water main rehabilitation work. All work is weather permitting and schedules are subject to change. Some streets will continue to be packed with snow even after plowing and treating. Pavement temperatures and sunshine should help with additional melting throughout the day today; however, overnight and into Thursday refreezing may occur and drivers should continue to use caution.
