Various lane closures with detours are possible on NE Douglas Street between NE Chipman Road and SE 2nd Street. Northeast Douglas Street between Northeast Chipman Road and Southeast Second Street will have various lane closures through the end of March for tree work. Work may start as early as this week, and is expected to take place a block at a time. Some detours may be needed depending on conditions. The work is in preparation for the Northeast Douglas Street Improvements project, which is expected to begin this summer 2026. Section of Northeast Rice Road Set to Close Monday, Nov. 17 Section of Northeast Rice Road Set to Close Monday, Nov. 17 A section of Northeast Rice Road between Northeast Colbern Road and Northeast Mulberry Avenue is set to close on Monday, November 17, for approximately three weeks. The hard closure will be between 1707 and 1725 Northeast Rice Road. The detour route includes Northeast Mulberry Avenue, Northeast Independence Avenue, and Northeast Colbern Road. The closure is necessary for water main rehabilitation work.
