A section of Southeast Shenandoah Drive from Southeast Cumberland Drive to Southeast Ashton Drive is set to close on Monday, Sept. 23, for approximately one week. The detour route includes Southeast Cumberland Drive, Southeast Blue Parkway, and Southeast Battery Drive.
The City of Lee’s Summit has chosen Everything Changes With a Dream as the gateway sculpture for Green Street, the new mixed-use development in the heart of downtown Lee’s Summit. The signature art piece will be installed at the primary entry point on Green Street’s southern boundary at Third Street in spring of 2025.
Residents of Lee’s Summit will be among the first in the state of Missouri to use new software to better connect with the citizens that they serve.
The Lee’s Summit Police Department is launching a new citizen satisfaction and feedback solution that uses text messaging to keep citizens informed and provide feedback after a non-life-threatening interaction with the department.

A section of Southeast Sixth Terrace from Southeast Pendleton Drive to Southeast Ashton Drive is closed for approximately two weeks. Access will be allowed for residents. The detour route is Southeast Ashton Drive, Southeast Shenandoah Drive, and Southeast Cumberland Drive. The closure is necessary for sanitary sewer replacement.
