City's Crews Prepared for Winter Weather Early Thurs., Dec. 3

***UPDATE*** The forecast has changed and slick conditions are not expected until after 7 a.m. on Thurs., Dec. 3. City crews are now scheduled to report at 7 a.m. and will treat streets as needed.

The City has a crew scheduled to report at 3 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 3, to treat roadways as winter weather enters the Kansas City area. While minor accumulations are expected, roadways may become slick with temperatures at or below freezing. Residents should use caution while driving, especially on elevated surfaces such as bridges and overpasses. Roadways will be treated as necessary until temperatures warm above freezing. The City will continue to monitor the weather forecast and update its response accordingly.
