Section of Southwest Lea Drive Set to Close on Oct. 18

***UPDATE*** SW Lea Drive is now open as of 11/22/21. Work continues in the area so drivers should continue to use caution.

A section of southwest Lea Drive between southwest Ward Road and southwest Lucinda Court is set to close on Monday, Oct. 18, and will remain closed until approximately late November. The work is necessary as part of the Lea Drive stormwater project. The detour route is southwest Ward Road, to southwest 6th Street, to southwest Lea Drive. City Crews Treating and Plowing Residential Streets Monday, Feb. 15

City crews are treating and plowing residential streets today. Primary and secondary roads are complete. The extremely cold temperatures will limit the effectiveness of deicing materials. Roads may become slick and residents should use caution when driving. The City will continue to monitor the weather and adjust its response accordingly.

City Crews Treating and Plowing Primary Streets, Sunday, Feb. 14

City crews began treating primary streets at 7 a.m., Sunday, Feb. 14. Crews are scheduled to work around the clock into Monday, treating roadways and plowing if snow accumulates. 

The extremely cold temperatures will limit the effectiveness of deicing materials. Roads may become slick and residents should use caution when driving. The City will continue to monitor the weather and adjust its response accordingly.

The City’s crews completed plowing and treating residential streets today, Thursday, Feb. 11. Due to extremely cold temperatures, some streets may continue to be snow packed and slick. In addition, any snow which has melted during the day can quickly refreeze overnight. Residents should use caution and drive for the conditions.

The City’s crews completed plowing and treating secondary streets today, Tuesday, Feb. 9, and started plowing and treating residential streets. Due to continued cold temperatures, crews stopped operations at 3:30 p.m. today and will start again tomorrow, Wednesday, Feb. 10.
