Slick conditions are possible during the morning commute and crews will be prepared to treat roadways as needed. Road temperatures should be warm enough to prevent most of the snow from sticking to pavements, and the snow is expected to melt throughout the day as temperatures rise.

The City of Lee’s Summit is hosting a public meeting on April 29 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at City Hall to discuss infrastructure improvements for the Third Street corridor from Blue Parkway to Jefferson Street. The City has a crew scheduled to report at 3 a.m. on Thursday, March 18, due to a chance of snow in the forecast. Temperatures should be warm enough to prevent snow from sticking to pavements, but the City’s crews will be prepared to respond as needed on Thursday.

The City’s crews are set to complete plowing and treating residential streets today, Friday, Feb. 19. Residential streets are more than 80% complete and crews should finish around mid-day. Snow remains packed to some streets even after being plowed and treated, but warmer temperatures and sun will help with additional melting.
