MoDOT US 50 Bridges over Chipman Road Project
The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) plans to replace the U.S. 50 bridges over Chipman Road in Lee's Summit beginning March 21. These bridges have reached the end of their service life and must be replaced. In addition to the new bridges, sidewalks will be provided on both sides of Chipman Road through the interchange providing new critical connections for pedestrians. All work is weather permitting.

City Crews Treating Residential Streets this Afternoon
The City’s crews are treating residential streets with salt this afternoon. Higher pavement temperatures have helped to melt most of the snow that has fallen on streets so far. Another band of moderate snow is expected this evening around 6 p.m. Temperatures are expected to drop and accumulating snow of a dusting to one inch is likely. City Crews Plowing and Treating Streets Today, Thurs., March 10
The City’s crews are plowing and treating primary and secondary streets today, Thurs., March 10, as snow falls. Two rounds of snow are expected, with the first round ending this afternoon and the second round starting this evening and ending early Friday, March 11. The Lee’s Summit area is still expected to receive 4-8 inches of snow.

City Crews Preparing for Winter Storm
The City’s crews are preparing for another winter storm set to begin late tonight, Wed., March 9. Crews began applying salt brine to primary streets on Tuesday. Pretreatment with salt brine and rock salt continues today on residential streets, and the remainder of primary and secondary streets. Crews are set to report at 11 p.m. tonight to plow and treat streets as needed, and are scheduled around the clock through Saturday, March 12.
