Lee’s Summit to Celebrate Fourth Annual Missouri Good Neighbor Week Sept. 28 – Oct. 4

The City of Lee’s Summit is excited to join communities statewide in celebrating Missouri Good Neighbor Week, Sept. 28-Oct. 4. The annual event honors the spirit of community and encourages residents to strengthen relationships with neighbors. In 1978, President Jimmy Carter established Sept. 28 as National Good Neighbor Day by presidential proclamation. In 2022, Missouri Governor Mike Parson signed legislation establishing Sept. 28 as Missouri Good Neighbor Day and the six subsequent days as Missouri Good Neighbor Week. During Good Neighbor Week, citizens can get involved through various events and activities to foster community and goodwill. City of Lee’s Summit Hosting KC2026 Countdown Clock

The City of Lee’s Summit is proudly hosting one of two KC2026 FIFA World Cup 26™ Countdown Clocks in the center of Green Street, the City’s new outdoor destination located in the heart of downtown Lee’s Summit. The custom-designed, illuminated clock features Kansas City’s unique Host City branding and joins an identical clock in Overland Park, Kansas, counting down the days, hours, minutes and seconds until midnight, June 11, 2026, the day the FIFA World Cup 26™ kicks off in Mexico City. The clock will be on display at Green Street through mid-November.
