The City of Lee’s Summit is excited to join communities statewide in celebrating Missouri Good Neighbor Week, Sept. 28 - Oct. 4. The annual event honors the spirit of community and encourages residents to strengthen relationships with neighbors. During Good Neighbor Week, citizens can get involved through various events and activities to foster community and goodwill. These may include: Neighborhood clean-up days. Block parties. Performing acts of kindness. Recognizing good neighbors. Being a good neighbor and developing relationships can have many health benefits including improved mental, physical and heart health, increased life expectancy and reduced loneliness. The City of Lee’s Summit has chosen Everything Changes With a Dream as the gateway sculpture for Green Street, the new mixed-use development in the heart of downtown Lee’s Summit. The signature art piece will be installed at the primary entry point on Green Street’s southern boundary at Third Street in spring of 2025.
