Lee’s Summit Water Utilities Receives Two Customer Service Awards

Lee’s Summit Water Utilities is proud to announce the receipt of two prestigious customer service awards recognizing its commitment to excellence in serving the Lee’s Summit community.

The ETC Institute’s Leading the Way award was given to Lee’s Summit Water Utilities to recognize its ranking in the top 10% of municipalities for outstanding performance in core areas assessed in the DirectionFinder® Survey. During 2023, ETC Institute conducted the DirectionFinder® survey on behalf of 200 municipalities across the U.S. to gauge resident satisfaction with government services. Lee’s Summit Water Utilities’ results indicated high satisfaction with regard to quality of services, customer service and customer perceived value.  

Advanced Utility Systems selected Lee’s Summit Water Utilities as a recipient of its 2023 Customer Service Excellence Award for providing outstanding service to its customers. Advanced Utility Systems provides customer information and billing solution software to 90 utilities across North America and the Caribbean, awarding one utility and municipality this achievement.

“We are honored to receive these awards which underscore our ongoing dedication to serving our community. The intersection of Northwest Ward Road and Northwest Blue Parkway is set to close on Friday, Feb. 13, and will remain closed until approximately the end of June. A section of Northwest Blue Parkway between Northwest Executive Way and Northwest Ward Road also will be closed. The closures are necessary for the construction of a roundabout at the intersection of Northwest Ward Road and Northwest Blue Parkway as part of the Ward Road Improvements project. READ MORE...

Section of Northeast Rice Road Set to Close Wednesday, February 18

A section of Northeast Rice Road between Northeast Columbus Street and Northeast Langsford Road is set to close on Wednesday, February 18, for approximately three weeks (delayed from Monday, Feb, 9, and Monday, Feb. 16). The full closure will be next to the retention pond between 301 NE Rice Road and 401 NE Rice Road. The detour route includes Northeast Langsford Road, M291 Highway, and Northeast Columbus Street.

City Crews Completing Snow Operations Today

The City’s crews are completing plowing and treating residential streets this morning, Tuesday, Jan. 27, and expect to be complete by noon. Supervisors are checking completed areas and crews will do some clean-up as needed.

Sunshine and warmer temperatures will help with continued melting this week; however, nightly refreezes remain possible and drivers should use caution especially during morning commutes.

The City’s crews will continue plowing and treating residential streets tonight and overnight into tomorrow, Tuesday, Jan. 27. Residential routes were more than halfway complete at 7 p.m. tonight, and crews expect all streets to be completed by Tuesday afternoon.
