Lee’s Summit Water Utilities Receives Two Customer Service Awards

Lee’s Summit Water Utilities is proud to announce the receipt of two prestigious customer service awards recognizing its commitment to excellence in serving the Lee’s Summit community.

The ETC Institute’s Leading the Way award was given to Lee’s Summit Water Utilities to recognize its ranking in the top 10% of municipalities for outstanding performance in core areas assessed in the DirectionFinder® Survey. During 2023, ETC Institute conducted the DirectionFinder® survey on behalf of 200 municipalities across the U.S. to gauge resident satisfaction with government services. Lee’s Summit Water Utilities’ results indicated high satisfaction with regard to quality of services, customer service and customer perceived value.  

Advanced Utility Systems selected Lee’s Summit Water Utilities as a recipient of its 2023 Customer Service Excellence Award for providing outstanding service to its customers. Advanced Utility Systems provides customer information and billing solution software to 90 utilities across North America and the Caribbean, awarding one utility and municipality this achievement.

“We are honored to receive these awards which underscore our ongoing dedication to serving our community. City Crews Treating and Plowing Primary Streets, Sunday, Feb. 14

City crews began treating primary streets at 7 a.m., Sunday, Feb. 14. Crews are scheduled to work around the clock into Monday, treating roadways and plowing if snow accumulates. 

The extremely cold temperatures will limit the effectiveness of deicing materials. Roads may become slick and residents should use caution when driving. The City will continue to monitor the weather and adjust its response accordingly.

The City’s crews completed plowing and treating residential streets today, Thursday, Feb. 11. Due to extremely cold temperatures, some streets may continue to be snow packed and slick. In addition, any snow which has melted during the day can quickly refreeze overnight. Residents should use caution and drive for the conditions.
