The Chipman Road Improvements project is underway and a section of Northwest Chipman Road between View High Drive and Northwest Bent Tree Drive is set to close to through traffic beginning Monday, July 31, and will remain closed until completion of the project in approximately spring 2025. Update 7.26.23: This section of roadway is now open. Continued repair work to the area is expected through Friday, July 28, 2023.

A section of SE Melody Lane north of SE 3rd Terrace is closed for repairs. The stormwater crew discovered a sinkhole due to separation of a concrete storm pipe on SE Melody Lane. An update will be provided when available.

The City of Lee’s Summit is hosting a public meeting from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Wed., April 19, in the Strother Conference Room on the first floor of City Hall, 220 SE Green St., Lee's Summit, Mo. 64063, to discuss infrastructure improvements for the Douglas Street corridor from Chipman Road to 2nd Street. The meeting will allow the public to view conceptual plans and exhibits and provide feedback.
