City Crews Set to Continue Plowing and Treating Streets Overnight into Sunday, Jan. 25

The City’s crews plowed and treated primary and secondary streets once today, Saturday, Jan. 24, and crews will continue plowing and treating them overnight into Sunday, Jan. 25.

The area has received approximately three inches of snow, and an additional snow accumulation of one to three inches is expected overnight. Snow is expected to taper off Sunday morning, and then crews will complete all primary, secondary and residential streets.

The Lee's Summit Fire Department will be testing the voice messaging capability of a new Outdoor Warning Siren behind Fire Headquarters on Friday, May 27, 2022, around Noon. The new siren provides coverage for the downtown area and is capable of live and prerecorded voice messages in addition to the traditional storm siren.
