City Crews Plowing and Treating Residential Streets Today, Tuesday, January 7

The City’s crews are plowing and treating residential streets today, Tuesday, January 7. Crews are 100% complete with primary and secondary streets, and approximately 7% complete with residential. Overall as of 7 a.m. this morning, crews were 48% complete with snow operations. Crews will be working around the clock today and into tomorrow, Wednesday, January 8, to plow and treat all residential streets.

Due to the heavy snowfall large windrows on side streets, at intersections, driveways and sidewalk ramps should be expected. Streets will likely remain snow packed even after being plowed and treated due to the ice, depth of snow and cold temperatures. The cold temperatures will hang around until next week, but sunshine over the next few days should help with melting. Crews will likely return to primary streets later in the week to widen and clean up lanes.
