City Crews Treated Streets Today, Mon., Dec. 19; Preparing for Chance of Freezing Drizzle Tues., Dec. 20

The City’s crews continued to treat streets with salt today, Mon., Dec. 19, and are expected to end operations at 3:30 p.m. due to the forecast for rain and non-accumulating snow this afternoon.  Crews are expected to report again at 7 p.m. tonight to continue to monitor conditions and treat streets as needed late Monday, and overnight into Tues., Dec. 20.

The City’s crews are also preparing for a chance of freezing drizzle during the early morning hours Tuesday. Pavement temperatures are expected to be below freezing at onset and the morning commute may be slick. Residents are encouraged to use caution while driving, especially on elevated surfaces such as bridges and overpasses. Temperatures are expected to rise above freezing late Tuesday morning.

The City will continue to monitor the weather forecast and update its response as needed.
