Lee’s Summit Encourages Acts of Kindness During Take Time to Be Kind Week

The City of Lee’s Summit’s Human Relations Commission is celebrating kindness in the community during its weeklong “Take Time to Be Kind” campaign, which runs from Feb. 13 - 19. Community members are encouraged to perform random and purposeful acts of kindness to promote positivity.

These acts of kindness can be as simple as holding a door open for a stranger, thanking someone who inspired or believed in you, opening a door for a stranger, or volunteering at a local organization. Community members are asked to share acts of kindness on social media using #LSKindness.

The smallest act of kindness can have incredible power and have a major effect on someone’s day. Help spread happiness, promote positivity and make a lasting impact on the Lee’s Summit community.
