City Crews Set to Continue Plowing and Treating Residential Streets Tonight and Overnight into Saturday, Feb. 19

The City’s crews have been plowing and treating residential streets throughout the day today, Friday, Feb. 18, and will continue overnight into Saturday, Feb. 19. As of 6 p.m. Friday, crews were 56% complete with residential streets. Lee’s Summit’s official snow total from the storm was 7.5 inches, which means it can take crews up to 40 hours after the snow stopped falling to plow and treat all streets in the city. Crews expect to be complete with residential streets in the early morning hours Saturday. Refreezing on streets is possible overnight into Saturday morning, but sun and warming temperatures during the day will help with additional melting.
