Lee’s Summit 2025 State of the City on August 15

Lee's Summit Mayor Bill Baird will deliver his State of the City address on Aug. 15 at 4:30 p.m., hosted by the Lee’s Summit Chamber of Commerce at the newly completed Green Street Market, 209 SE Green St. The address will take place immediately before the Green Street ribbon cutting, making it the first official public event at the City’s newest destination. This will also mark Mayor Baird’s last State of the City as he completes his final term in office.

This year’s State of the City address will review key accomplishments and outline strategic initiatives related to public safety, infrastructure and economic development. Mayor Baird’s remarks will reflect on the foundation laid for continued growth and progress, as well as the vision he leaves for the City’s future.

The State of the City is open to the public and will also be streamed live on Youtube.com/cityofls.
