Tour de Lakes 2023

The 21st Annual Tom Logan Memorial bike ride, Tour de Lakes, will take place on Saturday, Jun. 24, 2023. The ride starts at the Longview Community Center (3801 SW Longview Park Dr., Lee's Summit, MO 64081) at 7 a.m., rain or shine.

Riders may choose from four different routes: a 10-mile ride around Longview Lake and 32 and 56-mile rides around Longview, Raintree, and Lakewood Lakes. Finally, avid riders can tackle the 64-mile ride touring all five lakes: Longview, Raintree, Lakewood, Blue Springs, and Lake Jacomo.

"I can't think of a better way to spend a Saturday morning," said Joe Snook, the Administrator of Lee's Summit Parks and Recreation (LSPR). "I hope you can join LSPR and hundreds of riders for this fully-supported bike ride. It is an awesome experience."

Tour de Lakes is a fully supported ride. The ride costs $37 for riders ages 14 and older, $32 for 13 and under for those registered by Friday, June 23, $42 the day of the ride for riders ages 14 and older, and $37 for 13 and under. Register by Thursday, June 8, to secure a commemorative tee and goodie bag. Each rider must be 18 years of age or accompanied by an adult. Approved bicycle helmets are required for all riders as well as a signed waiver before their ride begins.

Sponsors for Tour de Lakes include Legacy Touch, Tribute Tech Foundation, Paragon Star, Bike Stop, Pickle Juice and Aristocrat Motors. Proceeds from Tour de Lakes benefit Legacy for LS Parks Foundation.

$250k Grant Awarded to LSPR for Mouse Creek Trail Project

Lee’s Summit Parks and Recreation has been awarded a $250,000 Recreational Trails Program Grant for the future trail along Mouse Creek in south Lee’s Summit.
