Dana Arth Selected as District 3 Councilmember

City Council conducted a public candidate forum during the Sept. 8 City Council meeting to select the new District 3 Councilmember. Each candidate gave a two-minute opening statement, answered questions submitted by the public during the application process, and provided a closing statement.

Public comment followed for those wishing to speak in support of a candidate. Council then recessed for 30 minutes to deliberate before voting. The candidates were Andrea Young, Christopher Frederick, Dana Arth, Garrett Denzer, Jared R. Williams and Jothan D. (JD) Schiller. Dana Arth was selected with 5 of 8 votes.

Arth was sworn in following last night’s Regular Session so she could participate in the Closed Session. She will officially take her seat during the Sept. 16 Special Session and will receive a ceremonial swearing-in during the Sept. 22 City Council meeting.
