Section of SE Browning Street Set to Close May 8

Update 5/24/23: This section of SE Browning Street is now open to traffic.

Update 5/2/23: Work is progressing faster than anticipated and the contractor now intends to start the closure on Mon., May 8. The closure was originally posted to begin Tues., May 9.

A section of SE Browning Street just south of SE Oldham Parkway is set to close on Mon., May 8, and will remain closed for approximately two weeks, weather permitting. The work is necessary for roadway improvements and storm pipe replacement as part of the Browning Street Extension Project. The detour route is SE Hamblen Road and SE Browning Street. A map including the location of the road closure and the detour route is attached.
