The business office at Fire Headquarters will be closed on June 19, 2024, from 2 PM to 5 PM and All Day on June 20, 2024, so that our personnel may attend Captain Gene Martin's visitation and funeral services. Our mutual aid partners will provide coverage in our city during that time to ensure no interruption in emergency services.

Tour de Lakes 2024 Calling all cycling enthusiasts! Mark your calendars for the 22nd Annual Tom Logan Memorial Tour de Lakes, which will take place on Saturday, June 22nd, 2024 at 7am. This fully supported ride offers something for everyone. Choose from scenic routes ranging from 10 miles around Longview Lake to a more challenging 64-mile adventure encompassing all five lakes: Longview, Raintree, Lakewood, Blue Springs, and Lake Jacomo.  

On Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at 11:08 a.m., the Lee's Summit Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire at 11 SW Industrial Drive at Newco Manufacturing. The caller reported a fire in the paint room.  When the fire department arrived, heavy smoke was visible from a large single-story commercial building.
