37th Annual LSPD / LSPOA Shop With a Cop Event

37th Annual LSPD / LSPOA Shop With a Cop Event

On Wednesday, December 11, 2024, Officers with the Lee's Summit Police Department gathered for the annual Shop With a Cop event. The event happens each year in cooperation with the Lee's Summit Police Officers Association and our generous local retailers.

The 15 officers left headquarters around 3:30 p.m. that day and picked up each of their shoppers from school in a marked police car. From there, each officer took their shopper to Target, where they received a gift card to shop for gifts for their families. Once they are done shopping, the officers return to headquarters, where an army of volunteers is waiting to help them wrap their gifts. Holiday music and laughter fill the room as the shoppers work with the volunteers to personalize the wrapping of each gift for their family members. Once all the presents are wrapped, the group is treated to dinner provided by our local Chick-Fil-A! With a full stomach and a bag of presents, the officers take each child home to end the night, but not before posing for one final picture of everyone who made it such a special day!

A huge thank you to our sponsors this year, Target, Chick-Fil-A, Lee’s Summit Police Officers Association, Flooring & More, Major Painting, Quality Custom Concepts, Hy-Vee East, Summit Lending, Adam’s Toyota, Twin Lakes Insurance, Duebin AAA Tree Service, Answering the Call, K Walton & the Krostue Family!
