• The City has launched a new webpage with information about the Lee’s Summit Police Department’s use of automated license plate readers (ALPR), commonly known as Flock cameras.
• Created in response to public questions, the page explains how ALPR technology is used, the safeguards around the data, and current efforts to review policies and regional data-sharing practices.

The public is invited to join us for the ribbon cutting for our new South Substation on Thursday, 8/21/2025 at 4:30 p.m.

On January 21, 2025, at approximately 7:30 p.m., officers and paramedics were dispatched to a business parking lot in the 3300 block of SW Third Street on the report of a robbery. Upon arrival, officers contacted the victim, who stated he had come to the parking lot to sell an iPad to a buyer on Facebook marketplace.
