Crews Plowing and Treating Streets Today, Thurs., Feb. 17

The City’s crews are plowing and treating streets today, Thurs., Feb. 17. Crews completed pretreating streets overnight, and are currently working in primary streets and some secondary streets as snow continues to fall. The Lee’s Summit area is expected to receive 6-10 inches of snow. Depending on the total snow accumulations, it will likely take crews 32.5-40 hours after snow stops to plow and treat all streets in the city.

Residents can help speed up the snow removal process by removing vehicles from the street prior to the storm.

The City will continue to monitor the forecast and update its response accordingly.
