A section of NE Hagan Road at NE Maguire Boulevard is set to close today, and will remain closed for approximately one week. The closure is necessary for sanitary sewer work. The detour route includes NE Jones Industrial Drive and NE Independence Avenue.

This work is being completed by a private contractor and is development related. All work is weather permitting and schedules are subject to change.

 

A section of SE Johnson Street at SE Cooper Street is set to close on March 7 for approximately a week and a half. This is for work related to the Downtown Market Plaza. Work is weather permitting and schedules are subject to change.

This closure is south of the SE Second Street closure that begins March 4.

Update 5/10/24: This section of westbound Chipman Road is back open; however, there will be some right lane closures during the day as work continues. A section of westbound NW Chipman Road from NE Douglas Street to NW Donovan Road is set to close on Monday, March 11, and will remain closed for approximately two months. The detour route includes NE Douglas Street, NE Tudor Road, and NW Ward Road. NW Commerce Drive and NW Main Street will also be closed at NW Chipman Road and must be accessed from NW Commerce Drive off of NE Tudor Road. This is private utility work to install a primary electrical duct bank and manholes, and is not associated with a City project. All work is weather permitting and schedules are subject to change.

The City's crews are scheduled to treat streets with salt as needed late Tuesday, Feb. 27, and overnight into early Wednesday, Feb. 28, as sleet and snow is forecast for the area. Streets are expected to get slick as temperatures and pavements fall below freezing, and drivers should use caution overnight and into the Wednesday morning commute. Pavement temperatures are expected to rise above freezing by mid-day Wednesday.

A section of SE Second Street from SE Johnson Street to SE Eastridge Street is set to close on Monday, March 4, and will remain closed until approximately the end of April. The detour route includes SE Grand Avenue, SE 3rd Street and SE Green Street. 

There will also be intermittent closures of SE Eastridge at SE Second Street while sanitary sewer work takes place. 

The closures are necessary for stormwater and sanitary sewer work for the Downtown Market Plaza project.
