Section of Pryor Road Set to Open Friday, June 19

Section of Pryor Road Set to Open Friday, June 19

The section of Pryor Road between Longview and Scherer roads is expected to open to traffic by the end of the day tomorrow, Friday, June 19. One lane of traffic will be open in each direction, and it will remain an active construction zone with workers present so drivers should use caution. The posted detour will remain Longview, Ward, and Hook roads. The intersection of Pryor and Scherer roads will be a three-way stop.

The opening of Pryor Road south of Scherer Road to Eagle Creek Drive is delayed until July, due to utility conflicts.

Improvements to the Pryor and Longview intersection are complete, and work along Scherer Road is complete. Improvements to the Pryor and Hook intersection are expected to begin later this summer. The overall project is anticipated to be completed in summer 2027.

All work is weather permitting and schedules are subject to change. For updates and more information, visit the City’s project page at https://cityofls.net/pryor-road.
