City Hall Cashier Services Moving to Development Services Center

City Hall Cashier Services Moving to Development Services Center

Beginning Monday, July 20, 2026, the Treasury Cashier Services will move to the Development Services Customer Service area in the southwest corner of the main floor of Lee’s Summit City Hall.

The existing Treasury Cashier windows will no longer be staffed. This is a change in location only, and customers will continue to receive the same cashiering services from the new consolidated customer service area, just down the hallway.

The move brings the Treasury Cashiering team and the Development Services Customer Service team together in one location. Combining the two customer-facing teams will provide greater staffing flexibility, allow employees to support one another during periods of high customer demand, and help the City in continuing to provide consistent customer service.

As part of the transition:

  • Directional signs and arrows will be placed throughout City Hall to guide visitors to the new cashier location.
  • Existing overhead signs and new direction signs will be moved/installed on Thursday, July 16.
  • Lee’s Summit branded merchandise will move to the glass display case outside Council Chambers.
  • There will be no disruption of service for anyone coming to City Hall to conduct business.

This transition is separate from any future planning related to City Hall renovations made possible by the bond approved by voters in 2023. A timeline for those efforts has not yet been established.

Thank you for your interest in and support of the City of Lee’s Summit!
