On Thursday, Jan. 19, the City of Lee’s Summit City Council unanimously passed a resolution expressing opposition to the location of a landfill outside the corporate City limits and near the border of the City. On Monday, December 19, 2022, at 11:44 p.m., the Lee’s Summit Fire Department responded to a reported commercial structure fire at the John Knox Village Maintenance Building, 626 NW Pryor Road.
