Ward Road Project Update - Blue Parkway Roundabout Set to Open

The new roundabout on Blue Parkway at Ward Road is set to open to eastbound and westbound traffic by the end of the day today, Friday, July 10.

Ward Road will remain closed to through traffic between Blue Parkway and O’Brien Road. Local access will be provided in the southbound direction only between O’Brien and Lincolnwood, and there is a hard closure between Lincolnwood and Maple. Local access will be provided in both directions between Maple and Blue Parkway. These closures and traffic patterns are expected to be in place for approximately six more weeks, depending on utility relocations.

Drivers from Woodbine, Lincolnwood, Oxford, Hillcrest and Donovan will not be able to turn onto Ward Road from Lincolnwood and will need to use O’Brien Road. Drivers from Maple and 1st can travel south on Ward to the roundabout.

All work is weather permitting and schedules are subject to change. Project information and updates can be found at cityofLS.net/Ward.

$250k Grant Awarded to LSPR for Mouse Creek Trail Project

Lee’s Summit Parks and Recreation has been awarded a $250,000 Recreational Trails Program Grant for the future trail along Mouse Creek in south Lee’s Summit.
