Unplug and Explore in Lee's Summit Parks and Recreation

Lee’s Summit Parks and Recreation (LSPR), ReDiscover and Lee’s Summit CARES is offering a summer challenge now through Labor Day called “Unplug & Explore.” LSPR community centers, Summit Waves, Lea McKeighan Park and LSPR front desk staff at Lee’s Summit City Hall have a bingo game card that challengers complete by visiting parks, using amenities and enjoying facilities.

“We think the ‘Unplug and Explore’ challenge is a great way to engage our community,” Joe Snook, Lee’s Summit Parks and Recreation Administrator, said. “It introduces them to the wonderful world of LSPR and have a lot of fun.”

The bingo game card will have participants zipline, canoe, play, and enjoy all that LSPR has to offer. Once a challenge is completed, it is recommended that participants take a photo of the activity and share with LSPR in person and online with #UnplugandExplore. Participants are asked to visit the LSPR front desk at Lee’s Summit City Hall when they complete the bingo game card for prizes.

For more information on “Unplug and Explore,” visit one of our community centers or the LSPR front desk at Lee’s Summit City Hall.
