City Crews Continue Plowing and Treating Streets Today, Monday, January 6

The City’s crews are set to continue plowing and treating streets today, Monday, January 6, and will continue until all streets are plowed and treated. Crews were finishing up a primary route this morning and working in secondary streets. Ice and snow will remain packed to pavements even after being plowing and treated. Low temperatures limit the effectiveness of salt, but sunshine this week should help with some melting.

The City received a significant amount of snow along with high winds, and snow fighting conditions are challenging. Large windrows are expected in intersections, at sidewalk ramps, and in front of driveways. To minimize this issue at driveways, shoveled snow should be deposited on the downstream side of the driveway.
