Pryor Road Project Update – Section of Pryor Road Now Open

Pryor Road Project Update – Section of Pryor Road Now Open

The section of Pryor Road between Eagle View Drive and Scherer Road is now open. There is one lane of traffic open in each direction and lanes will be delineated with channelizers while construction continues. The Eagle View Drive intersection will be controlled by stop signs.  

The section of Pryor Road between Eagle Creek Drive and Eagle View Drive will remain closed for at least several more weeks. The detour route for Pryor Road remains Hook Road, Ward Road, and Longview Road while construction continues.

Improvements to the Pryor and Hook intersection are expected to begin later this summer. The overall project is anticipated to be completed in summer 2027.

Public Invited to Comment on Douglas Street Improvements

The City of Lee’s Summit is hosting a public meeting from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Wed., April 19, in the Strother Conference Room on the first floor of City Hall, 220 SE Green St., Lee's Summit, Mo. 64063, to discuss infrastructure improvements for the Douglas Street corridor from Chipman Road to 2nd Street. The City’s crews prepared trucks and will be called in as needed tonight, Thurs., March 16, and overnight into Fri., March 17, due to the potential for a refreeze. The City’s crews are preparing for snow on Sat., Jan. 21, and overnight into Sun., Jan. 22. Crews are scheduled to report at 7 p.m. on Saturday to treat streets as needed and will continue to work overnight into Sunday.
